The Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (ITM) is the state competence center in North Rhine-Westphalia in the field of information, telecommunications and media law and is part of the law faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . The institute is considered to be a leader in research. It is divided into a civil law and a public law department. Research is particularly focused on the field of legal informatics and IT law. Due to this interdisciplinary approach, it is a member of the European Research Center for Information Systems and works closely with the institutes for communication science and business informatics . A Master of Law degree in this area is also offered.
