Institute for Marxism-Leninism

Institutes for Marxism-Leninism were institutions of socialist or communist parties . They published works of the classics of Marxism as well as Marxism-Leninism and leading party leaders as well as topic-related research papers on the history of the party and the national and international labor movement of the time .

Examples

the Institute for Marxism-Leninism at the Central Committee of the CPSU under Lenin was founded in Moscow in 1920 .
the Institute for Marxism-Leninism at the Central Committee of the SED was founded in Berlin in 1949 . see also Jonaß department store
- both started together with the publication of the Marx-Engels-Gesamtausgabe (MEGA),
the Institute for Marxist Studies and Research in Frankfurt am Main. Founded in 1968 as an institution closely related to the DKP .

Universities of the GDR

An institute for Marxism-Leninism , later a section for Marxism-Leninism , existed until 1989 at every university and college in the GDR (see Basic Social Studies (GDR) ) and those of other socialist countries.
