Instituto de Profesores Artigas

The Instituto de Profesores Artigas (IPA) is a tertiary education institute for teacher training in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

Uruguay's teacher training for secondary schools takes place at the institute. This teacher training college was founded in the late 1940s and early 1950s on the basis of two legal regulations dated July 2, 1949 and August 10, 1950. The institute is located in the Barrio La Aguada in Montevideo on Avenida del Libertador 2025. The institute's first director was Antonio M. Grompone . In 2012, Bettina Corti held this position.
