Name development

The club was founded in 1912 as III. Kerületi Sportklub ("Sports Club of the 3rd District") was founded, but was renamed DAC in the following year. A few other name changes mark the further history of the club. In 1945 the club came under the influence of the railway workers, was initially called MÁV-DAC , then Győri Vasutas , GyVSE-DAC , Győri-Lokomotív SE and finally MÁV-DAC again . This name existed for a long time before Integrál joined in 2001 and the association from the Nádorváros district was given the name Integrál DAC . "Integrál" stands for the main and name sponsor, Integrál-H Rt. The rest of the word means "Transdanubian Athlete Club" in German. In December 2008 the sponsor withdrew and the club has had its current name since 2016 after several name changes.
