Integrationsverket

The Integrationsverket was a Swedish authority based in Norrköping . It was founded in 1998 following a resolution passed by the Swedish Parliament in 1997 and closed and wound up on June 30, 2007 by resolution of March 8, 2007.

Her tasks included gathering and imparting knowledge on how the integration of immigrants in Sweden works, how it is developing and what is being done to promote it. The authority should also support the municipalities in their integration work. The authority was assigned to the Ministry of Justice.

The tasks of the authority were distributed to other authorities. Most of them took over the Migration Association and the provincial authorities of the respective countries .
