Intel 300 series
The Intel 300 series is a series of motherboard chipsets from Intel and the successor to the Intel 200 series . The chipset series is code-named "Cannon Point". The chips support processors of the Coffee Lake generation, but not the previous processors of the Skylake or Kabylake generation, as the corresponding socket is officially named LGA 1151 and is mechanically identical to the predecessor, but has a different pin assignment .
