The intelligence paper for the city of Bern was a newspaper published in Bern ( Switzerland ) from 1834 to 1919 . From 1919 until 1922 it was called the Berner Landeszeitung .
history
In the first few years the intelligence paper for the city of Bern appeared once or twice a week, from 1841 it was published daily. There are around 166,000 pages in total. In the 19th century the paper was the most important city Bern newspaper for local reporting. In addition to official communications from the city , canton and the civic community of Bern , the Intelligence Journal and its successor publication published reports on political events, news from associations , letters to the editor , obituaries and reports on crimes. Advertisements for the services and products of the Bernese industry took up a large part of the space .
