Inter-Provincial Trophy 2018
The Inter-Provincial Trophy 2018 (also Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial Trophy 2018 for sponsorship reasons ) was the sixth season of the national Twenty20 cricket competition in Ireland, which took place from May 18 to July 8, 2018. It was the second edition of the competition that was awarded Twenty20 status by the International Cricket Council . Leinster Leightning successfully defended his title from the previous year and won the trophy for the fifth time.
format
Each team plays each other twice. There are 4 points for a win, 2 points for a no result or a tie. There is a bonus point if the run rate is 1.25 times that of the opponent.
