Introduction to wave surfing for Interboot visitors on a surf simulator

The Interboot is a water sports fair that is organized annually by Messe Friedrichshafen .

The first fair took place in 1962 - at that time still in the old fair . With the completion of the New Friedrichshafen Exhibition Center in 2002, this event also moved to the new site.

Until 2011, the event used nine of the twelve existing exhibition halls (Halls A1 to A6 and B1 to B3) and thus 70,000 square meters of the possible 85,000 square meters, the outdoor area between the halls and the exhibition lake in front of the entrance. Sailing is roughly divided into halls A and motor boating in halls B. Information is also provided about water sports clothing , canoes , kayaks , water skis and diving needs . In the Maritime Travel Market there are trip advice and there are also various specialist lectures. In 2010, 518 exhibitors from 25 countries were represented at the fair.

From 2012 onwards, the halls were reorganized and the products were rearranged.

Around 100 motor and sailing boats can be tried out in the Friedrichshafen interboot port right on Lake Constance .

Sports side events include various regattas such as the INTERBOOT Trophy for different boat classes, the BodenseeCup and a classic car regatta.
