history

Ducati 851 at Intermot 2004

Intermot was created by splitting off the (larger) motorcycle division from the international bicycle and motorcycle exhibition IFMA in Cologne and was organized by the exhibition in Munich from 1998 to 2004 . However, Koelnmesse managed to win back its former event. From October 11 to 15, 2006, over 1,000 exhibitors presented themselves in seven halls and on the outdoor area in Cologne. With around 187,000 visitors, they found around 31,000 more than at the last Intermot 2004 in Munich.

In 2010 the fair took place in Cologne from October 6th to 10th, 2012 from October 3rd to 7th (with 203,000 visitors), in 2014 from October 1st to 5th with "over 200,000 visitors" (according to Koelnmesse) and the topic “50 years of the motorcycle fair in Cologne”.

The last Intermot took place from October 3rd to 7th, 2018 in Cologne, the next event is planned for 2020.
