International Bridges to Justice

International Bridges to Justice (IBJ) is a non-governmental organization based in Geneva , Switzerland . The basic task of the organization is to protect the basic rights of ordinary citizens in developing countries by guaranteeing all citizens the right to competent legal representation, the right to protection from cruel and unusual punishments and the right to a fair trial.

IBJ was founded in 2000 by Karen I. Tse and is active (2018) in Burundi , Cambodia , China , the Democratic Republic of the Congo , India , Rwanda , Zimbabwe and Myanmar .
