International Climate Science Coalition

The International Climate Science Coalition ( ICSC dt, .: International Climate Science Coalition ) is a front organization that the dispute man-made global warming .

She describes herself as an association of economists, politicians and other people who are critical of the scientific statements on man-made global warming and sees herself as an opponent to the IPCC . According to her own account, she strives to bring about a “more open and rational debate on questions of the climate”.

In the scientific literature, the organization is viewed as a corporate and conservative think tank funded climate denial organization whose aim is to combat climate research and spread misinformation about global warming . For this she received u. a. Donations from the energy company Exxon . Other proven funds come from Murray Energy , a coal company that filed for bankruptcy in 2019 and by then had funded a slew of climate denial organizations.

The ICSC was headed from 2008 by Tom Harris , a former lobbyist who, after officially lobbying, carried out grassroots campaigns against regulation of energy companies . As of 2009, it operated from the same IP address as the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition and the Australian Climate Science Coalition and largely relied on the same alleged climate experts, including Timothy Ball .
