The International Committee of the Decorative Laminates Industry (ICDLI) is an association based in Brussels .

As an association, the ICDLI represents the interests of the European manufacturers of HPL and their suppliers.

The association is a member of the Association of European Building Material Manufacturers (CEPMC).

history

The association was founded in 1961 by laminate associations from Belgium, France and Germany. In the following years associations from Austria, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain joined the ICDLI. The ICDLI has been an association under Belgian law since 1999 and has its official seat in Brussels . In 2000, the ICDLI was transformed from an association of associations into an association for companies, which represents the interests of European manufacturers of HPL and their suppliers.

Purpose, activities

In its committees for technology, press and public relations as well as economy, the ICDLI fulfills the following tasks:

  • Update of the European laminate standard EN 438
  • Provision of data on the development of the European HPL market
  • Preparation of information on the product and environmental properties of HPL
  • Solving application-related problems (e.g. through technical data sheets)
  • Creation of a communication platform for the manufacturers of HPL
