International Islamic Fiqh Academy

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy ( Arabic مجمع الفقه الإسلامي الدولي, DMG Maǧmaʿ al-Fiqh al-Islāmī ad-Duwalī ), based in Jeddah, is an institution of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which deals with the further training of Islamic law .

It was founded in 1974 by resolution of the second OIC summit and opened in February 1988.

One of the best-known resolutions of the Fiqh Academy was the categorical ban on embryo research in 1990.
