International Organization for a Participatory Society
The International Organization for a Participatory Society ( International Organization for a Participatory Society ) (IOPS) is an organization with the aim of participatory society. It represents values such as collective self-administration , egalitarianism , solidarity , diversity , ecological responsibility and internationalism .
The IOPS was founded in January 2012 and in December 2013 had 3395 members from 101 countries.
The provisional committee consists of well-known members Ezequiel Adamovsky , Michael Albert , Stanley Aronowitz , Elaine Bernard , Patrick Bond , Noam Chomsky , Maya Evans , Eva Golinger , David Graeber , Andrej Grubacic , David Harvey , Pat Korte , John Pilger , Vijay Prashad , Lydia Sargent , Boaventura de Sousa Santos , Steve Shalom , Vandana Shiva , Paul Streetand Chico Whitaker .
The IOPS is closely linked to the World Social Forum and the Occupy movement .
