International Society for Folk Narrative Research
The International Society for Folk Narrative Research ( French : Société Internationale pour l'investigation des narrations populaires , English : International Society for Folk Narrative Research , ISFNR ) is a scientific society in the field of narrative research with the aim of promoting contacts and scientific exchange between narrative researchers worldwide . The company organizes congresses. Since 1998 the magazine Fabula has been an official organ of the ISFNR. The seat of the society is the place of work of the respective president, from 2009 to 2016 this was Ulrich Marzolph, adjunct professor for Islamic studies at the University of Göttingen and employee of the office of the encyclopedia of fairy tales .
