International Socio-Economic Index of Occupational Status
International Socio-Economic Index of Occupational Status (German: "international socio-economic measure of occupational status", ISEI value ) is an index from a meta-analysis by Ganzeboom et al. (1992). It is used in large-scale assessment Studies such as PISA studies of the OECD as a measure of socioeconomic status used and is based on international data on income and level of education of members of different professions . The ISEI can assume values between 16 (agricultural workers, cleaning workers ) and 90 ( judges ).
