International bakery exhibition
The iba is the leading global trade fair for bakery , confectionery and snacks. The fair has been held every three years since 1949. In recent years, the venues have been Munich and Düsseldorf , each alternating. Since 2012, iba has only been held in Munich. The fair is sponsored by the Central Association of the German Bakers' Trade Association, the iba is organized by the GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH .
The fair is aimed at craft businesses and large bakers through to industrial providers. The trade fair includes products and technologies that are relevant for bakers and confectioners of all sizes, decision-makers from the baked goods and confectionery industries and food retailers, but also for restaurateurs, café owners, hotel specialists and caterers.
The spectrum of topics ranges from raw materials, ingredients, frozen products, snacks for the out-of-home market and accessories to production and packaging technology, process optimization and information technology, as well as shop fitting and equipment for bakeries, pastry shops and cafés to cleaning and hygiene, energy, Ventilation and air conditioning technology as well as laboratory and measuring devices.
More than 77,000 trade visitors from around 170 countries came to iba 2018. A total of over 1,300 companies exhibited.
