The Tulln International Horticultural Fair in Tulln on the Danube is one of the largest European trade fairs for everything to do with gardens, floristry, garden technology, planning and accessories, with around 100,000 visitors annually. The fair, which takes place on five days in August, is organized by the Federal Association of Austrian Gardeners and Messe Tulln . The five days of the International Horticultural Fair in Tulln offer not only shopping facilities for plants and garden equipment, but also comprehensive information on gardens and garden design, fruit, vegetables, flowers and the latest trends in green oases.

Part of the fair every year is the complete design of a hall by the Austrian gardeners and florists. Hall 1 of the fair, the Donauhalle, is entirely dedicated to floral works of art under an annually changing motto.

History of the international horticultural fair in Tulln

The horticultural fair of European format as it takes place in Tulln today has its origins in the traditional flower parade of the flower city of Tulln from 1954. The great popularity of the flower parade led to an ever larger space requirement and thus to the foundation of the Tulln fair. The Tulln International Horticultural Fair has been held at the Tulln Exhibition Center since 1967. The Lower Austrian State Horticultural Show was set up right next to the exhibition grounds in 2008, and since then it has also been a permanent facility as the Tulln Garden and thus complements the horticultural fair .
