The International University for Executive Management (c) (IHB) in Berlin was a state-recognized private university that opened in the 2008/09 winter semester. The supporting company is the Society for Education and Communication Berlin . The University of Applied Sciences ceased operations on September 30, 2010 after the university authorities returned state recognition to the Berlin Senate for personal reasons. This was communicated to the students and staff at a plenary meeting on September 15, 2010.

Executive management

Executive management is the science of executive process design. It describes the approach and systematic implementation of business objectives and outlines processes, communication structures and the targeted use of networks.

Academy of Practitioners

Academy of Practitioners (AdP) was a weekly panel discussion with experts from the professional practice at the three institutes of the university. Personalities from various professional fields presented their field of activity and reported on current professional challenges. In this way, the students got to know various professional fields of activity, made contacts and received suggestions for their practical projects.

Highlights of the AdP:

  • Discussion with José Manuel Barroso , Rainer Eppelmann , the retired Brigadier General D. Bernd Kiesheyer and the Chairman of the Naumann Foundation Rolf Berndt.
  • Discussions with Oliver Scheytt , visits to Ruhr2010 and Tourismus Salzburg GmbH
  • Discussion with the head of the Berlin Olympic Training Center Harry Bähr and Eberhard Gienger
