International Latsis Foundation

The International Latsis Foundation (Fondation Latsis Internationale) is a foundation established in 1975 from the assets of Giannis Latsis and based in Bellevue near Geneva . It is a non-profit organization (institution non lucrative d'intérêt public) and a subsidiary of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation . The board of trustees includes Spiros Latsis , son of Giannis Latsis.

The foundation makes the prize money available for several science prizes.

The university prizes have been awarded since 1983 and are endowed with 25,000 Swiss francs each (all endowments as of 2011).

In addition, certain annual or biennial scientific conferences at the universities mentioned are funded with 50,000 Swiss francs each.
