John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation
The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation , based in Vaduz and with an office in Athens , was founded in 2005 in memory of and from the estate of Giannis Latsis . It promotes charitable causes of education, science, culture, art, community and environmental protection inside and outside Greece . For this purpose, activities in Greece are supported directly and other foundations of a network of Latsis foundations are supported. These subsidiary foundations include the International Latsis Foundation (Fondation Latsis Internationale) based in Bellevue near Geneva , which donates several Swiss and international science prizes, and other foundations that award scholarships to students from Greece or support the Greek-speaking minority in Albania .
