International water center
The International Center for Water Resources and Global Change is an independent entity serving the Member States and Associate Members of UNESCO . It was founded on July 9, 2014 in Berlin and is under the patronage of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture in Germany.
tasks
The center
- strives for sustainable development and integrated management of water resources,
- examines and researches related to the sustainable development of water resources,
- offers seminars , workshops , courses , conferences and regular publications and multimedia learning and
- works with the World Data Center outflow (Global Runoff Data Center) and the World Center for Precipitation Climatology together (Global Precipitation Climatology Center).
