The Viennese Cat Music (Charivari). was an Austrian magazine that first appeared on June 9, 1848 and the last time on October 26, 1848. From issue 39 on August 2, the title was changed to Wiener Charivari: political daily newspaper for ridicule and seriousness with caricatures . On the day Miau von Miauenthal wrote the leading article Our Reichstag and the nobility .

The two editors were politically persecuted, whereupon the English fled abroad. Wilhelm Beck was sentenced to two months in prison.
