Internet watch
The Internetwache (also online watch , electronic police station , eRevier ) is the name of virtual police stations .
Citizens can make certain entries online at the Internet guard, primarily filing criminal charges . The process is given a file number and is forwarded by the Internet watch to the responsible police authority for processing, which will contact the applicant or the complainant at short notice.
A report to the Internet guard cannot replace an emergency call; in urgent cases this must also be made under the general police emergency number 110.
These services are intended to enable citizens to contact the police in a timely manner and, in particular, to facilitate accessibility for disabled people. In some countries there is a limited form of the Internet guard, there citizens can only submit wanted information, for example about stolen objects, as with the Bavarian police on the central website.
