The Interroll Holding AG is a leading Swiss manufacturer of key products for unit load handling systems, internal logistics and automation based in Sant'Antonino in the canton of Ticino . The products are mainly found in food processing , airport logistics, post, distribution and various branches of industry. These include: easily integrated drive solutions such as drum motors for belt conveyors, conveyor rollers and direct current drive rollers for roller conveyors ; energy-free dynamic storage modules for compact pallet and container storage in distribution centers; Cross belt sorters , belt curves and other user-friendly conveyor modules for economical material flow systems. Interroll serves over 28,000 customers, in particular regional system manufacturers and engineering offices as well as system integrators , multinational companies and users. The group employs around 2,300 people in 32 companies and is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange . Two globally active corporate divisions are managed by a strategic holding company in Sant'Antonino, Switzerland: Global Sales & Service sells the entire Interroll product range consistently according to customer type; Products & Technology brings together the global competence centers and other production locations and is responsible for R&D, product management, strategic purchasing, production technology and manufacturing.

history

Interroll was founded in 1959 by Dieter Specht and Hans vom Stein in Wermelskirchen , Germany. Between 1968 and 1973 Interroll entered into joint ventures in France, the United States, Denmark, the Benelux countries and Spain.

Plant in Sinsheim

In 1986 the company concentrated its entire injection molding production at the newly created location in Sant'Antonino, Switzerland, and three years later also relocated the headquarters there. In 1997 the company went public.

In 2000, company founder Dieter Specht handed over the management of the group to the new CEO, Paul Zumbühl. He then strategically realigned the group and sold activities that were not part of the core business.
