Inverted was a Swedish death metal band from Gothenburg .

history

In 1991 singer Joakim Almgren founded the metal project Inverted together with guitarists Lars-Hakan Svensson and Mats Blomberg, drummer Kristian Hasselhuhn and bassist Dan Bengtsson . In the same year the band released their first demo, Tales of Esteban . In the same line-up, the band played their second demo Heaven Defied in 1993 and signed a record deal with Wild Rags Records . In 1994, Inverted began recording their first EP, Revocation of the Beast .

In 1995 the band moved to the Belgian record label Shiver to record their first studio album The Shadowland . The vocals were initially taken over by Henric Heed, the bass was played by Exempt bassist Joel Andersson. After a radical line-up change 1997 began with the recordings for the second studio album There Can Be Only One . The new front man was Patrik Svensson, the guitar was taken over by Johan Ohlsson.

At the beginning of 1998 Stefan Lundberg took over the vocals and in the middle of the year Inverted broke up. Lundberg, Ohlsson and Andersson teamed up with guitarist Robert Tyborn Axt and Supreme Majesty drummer Joakim Unger to form the band Immersed in Blood , which recorded their first demo, Eine Kleine Deathmusik , in February 1999 .
