The Invicta Ground was a football stadium and the former home of Royal Arsenal , now known as Arsenal FC . It was located in the London borough of Plumstead , in the southeast of the British capital.

The stadium was ( "The Undefeated"), who was then the motto of Invicta county Kent , named, which owned the land at the time. The square was Arsenal FC's first real stadium. The sports field was equipped with a grandstand , a row of terraces and changing rooms, which was a significant improvement over the old Manor Ground stadium . The stadium was south of Plumstead High Street.

When Royal Arsenal began playing games at the Invicta Ground, the club was still a pure amateur club, with around 1,000 spectators at its home games. When the club started playing professional games, up to 12,000 spectators came to the Invicta Ground. In the first season of 1893/94 Arsenal entered the Football League for the first time (initially in the second-rate Second Division ) and the Invicta Ground was intended as the venue. Due to increased stadium costs, Woolwich Arsenal abandoned this plan prematurely and instead moved into the Manor Ground after the land price for this stadium had been reduced there. After renovation work on the Manor Ground, the equipment should then be almost as good as in the Invicta Ground.

After Royal Arsenal's move, only the amateur club, FC Royal Ordnance Factories, became the new tenant of the Invicta Ground on short notice until 1894. The property was then released for house construction. Today Mineral Street and Hector Street are located on the site of the former Invicta Ground. Remnants of the former Invicta Ground (such as remains of concrete) can still be found in the vicinity of some of the residential complexes on Hector Street.
