Plumstead , actually Plumstead Common , is a working-class neighborhood in the Plumstead district of the British capital London and is located in the district of Greenwich .

The Belmarsh Trackway , discovered in 2009, was used as a wooden route to cross a bog in Plumstead on around 4,000 BC. Dated.

Plumstead is one of the underprivileged districts of the metropolis. High unemployment and crime have been part of the picture here since the late 1970s.
