Invizimals (stylized: InviZimals ) is a series of computer games from Novarama and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEE) that requires the Go! Cam for PlayStation Portable .

Gameplay

The game principle of all games is the same: You are assigned individual missions that you have to complete. Sometimes you have to win a tournament by battling other Invizimals or sometimes by capturing certain Invizimals. Parallel to the main missions you are a member of the so-called “Invizimaljäger-Allianz”, which was founded by Keni, and you have to put imaginary puzzles that always result in a coat of arms. If you complete a puzzle you get one level higher in the alliance and receive gifts such as B. an invizimal or a so-called "vector" (a super attack that can be used in a fight). The game always includes the so-called trap , which is a small white and black plastic card with a pattern.

main characters

Three main characters accompany the player in every game throughout the game:

Kenichi "Keni" Nakamura

is an engineer and works for Sony Computer Entertainment in Tokyo. While developing the Go! Cam he discovered creatures and named them Invizimals . He researches these Invizimals and finds out a lot. In Invizimals: Shadow Zone , he discovers the dark Invizimals , which consist of dark sparks and founds an Invizimal hunter alliance in which the player joins first.

Professor Doc Dawson

(played by Brian Blessed) becomes a friend of Keni and explores the Invizimals with. For questions from Keni and Jazmin, he usually researches this matter until he has an answer. He also organizes the world tour of the three main characters.

Jazmin N.

is a friend of Keni and Professor Dawson. She takes over the introduction of the game Invizimals: Shadow Zone .

Invizimals

The name of the game is also the name of the little creatures called Invizimals . It is worth noting that the creatures in the pictures from the PSP camera can be seen in reality. The scheme of the game includes catching the creatures called Invizimals by switching to the PSP camera in the game and holding the camera at objects of a certain color. The trap must then be set on this point and in the sights of the camera. When you do that, two little identical shapes always appear. When they cross, you have to quickly press the X button. This happens three times until the so-called invizimal appears. Then you have to fulfill a certain task in a small mini-game, such as B. Play memory against the Invizimal or cross a course . If you can do that, getting the indicator appears Invizimal captured and Invizimal is to its ingredients called sparks implemented and in the case brought.

similarity

Invizimals and Invizimals: Shadow Zone both have similarities to the slightly older video game series Pokémon . The differences would be that Invizimals is only available for the PSP and Pokémon only for the Nintendo DS and that Pokémon works in its own two-dimensional video game world, while Invizimals plays three-dimensional in reality.

chronology

Invizimals: shadow zone

At the beginning of the second part, the player is asked whether he has already played the first part. For the respective answers, different videos are played first and a different Invizimal is caught. If you answer "yes", you can catch one of the Invizimals from the first part again. However, if you answer "No", a part from the first part will be played and Jazmin thinks you would have been the absolute best invizimal hunter in the world, but you have forgotten everything through a "memory beam". Then everything is explained to you again and you can catch the Invizimal Stingwing Pup .

Invizimals: The Lost Tribes

SCEE announced that the third part of Invizimals: The Lost Tribes (German: Invizimals: The lost tribes ) will appear in November 2011. The game was also shown at Gamescom 2011 . It is said to contain 150 Invizimals, 70 of which can also be found in the older parts.

Classification of the Invizimals

The Invizimals are divided into two categories:

By strength (evolution of the Invizimals)

Once they are graded according to strength. There are three levels for this: Pup, Colt and Max. They are always named by name. Eg one says Stingwing Pup . An Invizimal gets Battle Watts after each fight won . When the battle watt meter is full, an invizimal goes to the next level. There are a maximum of twelve levels, and at levels five and nine the Invizimal develops into the Colt and Max. There are, however, exceptions, such as. B. Kukulkan .

By element

Every Invizimal has its element. There are the elements of fire, ice, rocks, ocean, desert and jungle. Each element also has an associated color that you have to focus on when looking for the Invizimal.
