Iole
Iole ( Greek Ἰόλη , Corinthian ϝιολα) is in Greek mythology the daughter of King Eurytus of Oichalia and sister of Iphitos .
Heracles wanted to take revenge on King Eurytus because after winning an archery competition he had refused to give him his daughter Iole as his wife. Eurytus refused because he accused Heracles of having deceived him with magic arrows. After the conquest of Oichalia and the murder of Eurytus, Iole was kidnapped as a prisoner of war by Heracles and married to his son Hyllos .
