Iran Eory
Iran Eory , stage name of Elvira Teresa Eory Sidi ( Persian اِلویرا تِرِهسا اِئوری سیدی; * October 21, 1937 in Tehran ; † March 10, 2002 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican actress .
Eory was born in Iran to an Austrian father and a Turkish mother ; She later took this as an opportunity to use the name of her home country as an artist name. She grew up in France and Spain and won the Miss Monaco title in the 1959 beauty pageant before working as an actress.
Eory was discovered for the film at the age of 17; from 1961 she worked regularly in films; from 1964 also for television. She played in mostly entertainment merchandise for the next three decades in Spain, Argentina, Italy and Mexico, where she moved in 1970.
There she shot a number of films and a large number of telenovelas until the end of her life. She was married to the actor Carlos Monden .
