Irene Szep

Irene Szep (born December 31, 1953 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Irene Szep attended a federal high school in Spittal an der Drau from 1964 to 1968 , and the commercial academy in Klagenfurt from 1968 to 1974. Afterwards she studied economics in Vienna from 1974 , changed after her first diploma the subject: business education .

Since 1976 Irene Szep has been working as a vocational school teacher (City School Council Vienna) but changed her center of life in 1984 and began to teach Feldkirchen at Fachberufsschule 2 in Carinthia. In 1989 she passed the teaching examination for general education and business administration, followed in 1991 by the supplementary examination for English and she became head of the working group English for vocational schools in Carinthia (1999 extension examination for German and communication). Since 1991 Irene Szep has also been teaching in the Klagenfurt State Prisoner House. Irene Szep has been working on the social pedagogical service for all vocational schools in Carinthia since 1995.

In 2002, Irene Szep began to pursue her political interest in the form of a work as a councilor and councilor. Since 2003 she has been a member of the Carinthian State Women's Board. From 2005 to 2009 she held the office of Vice Mayor of Moosburg .

Irene Szep followed in April 2013 as SPÖ mandate Gerhard Köfer in the Austrian National Council .
