Irish Jiménez
Irish Tahima Jiménez Smith (born February 24, 1988 ) is a Venezuelan weightlifter .
Career
Jiménez Smith won bronze in poking at the 2007 Junior World Championships. Among the active, she won the bronze medal in the class up to 63 kg at the 2008 Pan American Championships. At the Olympic Games in Beijing in the same year, she reached eighth place in the snatch in the 69 kg class, but had no valid attempt in pushing. In 2010 she was fourth at the Pan American Championships, now back in the 63 kg class. At the South American Games that year she won bronze. At the 2013 World Championships Jiménez finished tenth and at the 2013 South American Championships she won the silver medal. In 2014 she was third at the South American Games . After that, however, she was tested positive for doping agents during a training check and was banned for two years.
