Iris Därmann
Iris Därmann (born March 17, 1963 in Witten ) is a German cultural scientist and philosopher .
Life
Iris Därmann has been Professor of Cultural Aesthetics at the Humboldt University of Berlin since 2012 . Her research topics include phenomenology , psychoanalysis and contemporary French philosophy, image theories, cultural theories, ethnology and concepts of the foreign, theater and tragedy theories , economics of the exchange of gifts and political figure theory.
From 2009 to 2011 Iris Därmann was the President of the German Society for Phenomenological Research.
