German Society for Phenomenological Research

The German Society for Phenomenological Research eV (DGPF) is an international association of scientists who are committed to the phenomenological philosophy established in Edmund Husserl's work , widely received and further developed in various variants . It is not about the dogmatic preservation of a historical model of philosophy, but about the continuation of the phenomenological method of philosophizing.

The Presidium consists of the President, the Vice-President and the Secretary General. The members of the Presidium are usually re-elected every two years. They initiate and organize the company's scientific program. The General Secretary manages day-to-day business and is responsible for the finances.

The Scientific Advisory Board, which is usually re-elected every 4 years, supports the Presidium in planning the company's scientific program. It also decides on the appointment of honorary members.

The general assembly of the society takes place every 2 years. It elects the Presidium and the members of the Scientific Advisory Board from among its ranks. The general assembly decides on a case-by-case basis on questions of the statutes and is involved in the conception of scientific projects of the society.
