Heinrich Rombach (born June 10, 1923 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † February 5, 2004 in Würzburg ) was a German philosopher .

Heinrich Rombach was initially interested in technology and natural sciences (and earned diplomas in mechanical engineering and civil engineering). As a war veteran , he began studying physics, mathematics and chemistry at the University of Freiburg in 1943 . As a minor, he took philosophy from Martin Heidegger , with whom he was later in personal contact. Other teachers were Max Müller , Eugen Fink and Wilhelm Szilasi . In 1949 he completed his studies in philosophy with the dissertation "On the origin and nature of the question". In 1955 he completed his habilitation with a thesis that was revised and expanded a good ten years later under the title Substance, System, Structure . From 1964 until his retirement in 1990 he was professor of philosophy at Chair I for philosophy at the University of Würzburg .

The Strukturontologie by Rombach assumes that everything Its structure is.

He wrote u. a. the structural ontology (1971) and the phenomenology of contemporary consciousness (1980). He developed a “ structural depth phenomenology ”, which is now also being adopted in East Asia ( Japan , Korea ) and which has a fruitful effect on the cultural and intellectual history issues of current basic philosophical research. Rombach has developed and presented three approaches to philosophical research, structural ontology, pictorial philosophy or historical phenomenology and hermetics or world theory as an understanding of the incomprehensible.

From 1970 to 1995 Heinrich Rombach was the editor of the Philosophical Yearbook .
