The Irish Sport Horse (English. Irish Sport Horse ) is a breed of horse from Ireland , which by crossing the Irish Draft with thouroughbred arose. It is a relatively new targeted breed, the aim of which is a sport horse with a jumping ability. The mating of draft mares with thoroughbred stallions themselves has always been carried out in Ireland in order to obtain a horse suitable for hunting - the Irish Hunter .

Exterior
The Irish sport horse shows, depending on the blood content, distinctive characteristics of the draft horse and the thoroughbred. The head is usually noble, the neck long. The chest is wide and deep. The withers are pronounced and the back strong, the saddle position ideal. The shoulders, upper and forearms as well as the croup, upper and lower legs are muscular. The croup is sloping and the tail is set low. The tubes are dry and strong, the pasterns elastic. Colors other than mold, fox, and brown are rare. The height is usually between 165 and 170 cm.
interior
The Irish Sport Horse is willing to perform and of an honest and benign character; his constitution is robust and persistent. It is mainly bred for show jumping and versatility. It is a relatively late maturing horse, but also a long-lived horse.
Cloning horses
Irish sport horse breeding has also opened up to horse cloning . The first two clones of the Irish Sport Horse breed are clones of the gray stallion Cruising, who died in 2014 and was highly successful in show jumping . Both were born in 2012 and approved for breeding in 2015.
