history

The Royal Exchange in Dublin, 1837

In 1799 the Irish Parliament passed a Stock Exchange Act which regulated the situation on the two stock exchanges in Cork and Dublin.

In 1973 the Irish Stock Exchange merged with the other UK and Irish stock exchanges. From 1973 to 1995 the Dublin Stock Exchange was a member of the International Stock Exchange of Great Britain and Ireland (the current London Stock Exchange ). But in 1995 the Dublin Stock Exchange re-established itself and broke with the UK Stock Exchange.

On June 6, 2000 , ISE closed its floor at Anglesea Street, Dublin 2, and switched to an electronic platform called ISE Xetra . The owner is Deutsche Börse AG, which is also trading in it.

In 2018, the Irish Stock Exchange was taken over by the exchange operator Euronext . The Irish Stock Exchange is now called Euronext Dublin in this context.
