The Irlenfelder Hof is an old farm on Irlenfelder Weg in the Rommerscheid district in Bergisch Gladbach .

The Irlenfelder Hof is first documented for the year 1806. It is recorded in the original cadastre as Irlenfeld . The farm name was derived from the older field name of the same name. The defining word “Irle” is derived from the Old High German name “arila” or the Middle High German name “alder” for the tree species alder . The field name referred to the location of the valley in an alder forest. Between 1956 and 1962 the Irlenfelder Weg got its name from the name of the farm.
