Vincent Ssempijja

Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja (born November 28, 1956 ) is a Ugandan politician of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) who has been Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries since 2016.

Life

Vincent Ssempijja first attended the St Josephs Bajja Primary School and then between 1969 and 1974 the St Charles Lwanga Kasasa before he graduated from the Caltec Academy Makerere from 1974 and 1976 . He was Deputy District Administrator from 1992 to 1993 and Resident District Commissioner from 1995 to 1998 and Chairman of Masaka District , located in the central region of Uganda, between 1998 and 2011 . During this time he graduated from the College of Professional Management in 1996 . Furthermore, a degree in management began at Nkumba University , which ended in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). He later completed postgraduate studies at Nkumba University, which he completed in 2010 with a Master of Arts (MA).

In 2011 Ssempija was elected for the first time for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) as a member of the Parliament of Uganda and has since represented the constituency of Kalungu County East , which is located in the Kalungu district in the central region. After serving as Minister of State for Agriculture between 2015 and 2016 , he became Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries in the cabinet of Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda in 2016 .
