Irmgard Scheitler

Irmgard Scheitler (born May 26, 1950 in Munich ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

After receiving her doctorate in Munich in 1979 ( The Sacred Song in the German Baroque ) and her habilitation in 1995 ( genre and gender. Travel descriptions of German women 1780-1850 ) in Dresden , she taught at the University of Würzburg as an adjunct professor . She has been retired since 2015.

Her research interests are early modern times, 19th century, contemporary literature, song research and hymnology.
