Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr.

Irvin Shortress Yeaworth Jr. (born February 14, 1926 in Berlin , † July 19, 2004 in Amman ) was an American film producer and screenwriter .

Life

He began his career at the age of ten when he sang at KDKA , the first radio station in Pittsburgh and the first private radio station in the USA, then he worked for a short time as a presenter . He has been involved in more than 400 films, including the science fiction horror film Blob , but he said that in retrospect he did not necessarily want to be associated with it, as he was associated with little Made money, but still became a "cult film". Yeaworth built an amusement park called the Jordan experience at Aquaba Gateway. On July 19, 2004, he died in a traffic accident while falling asleep behind the wheel of his car.

He married Jean Yeaworth and had five children with her.

In 2007 the "Colonial Theater" in Phoenixville commemorated Irvin Yeaworth with a film competition in which various amateur producers could participate.
