Iryna Mykolajiwna Bilyk ( Ukrainian Ірина Миколаївна Білик ; born  April 6, 1970 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian singer and composer .

Life

Bilyk was born the daughter of an engineer in a Kiev aircraft factory. She started dancing at the age of five, and a year later she sang in the children's ensemble “Sonetschko” (Ukrainian Сонечко , in German: “Little Sun”). At the age of 19 she took part in the Tscherwona ruta ( Червона рута ) music festival .

She graduated from the Kiev National University of Arts and Culture . In 1995 her first solo concert took place in the Ukrajina Palace. Between 1990 and 2017 she released twelve albums. Several singles and EPs have been released.

Bilyk is married and has two sons, the second being carried to term with the help of a surrogate mother .
