Isaac Asare (born September 1, 1974 in Kumasi ) is a former Ghanaian football player .
Career
From Cornerstones Kumasi , Asare joined RSC Anderlecht in 1990 as a youth . In 1992 he made his first team debut. At the 1992 Summer Olympics , the defender took part with the Ghanaian U-23 national team and won the bronze medal. In 1997 he moved to Cercle Bruges , where he was voted Player of the Year in his first season. However, he could not build on his achievements in the following year, so that in 1999 he moved to Greece to FAS Naoussa . In 2001 he left Greece again and in the meantime played for the Dutch amateur club Volksvriend before joining the KFC Dessel Sport . His last stop was in the 2004/05 season at KFC Lentezon Beerse . In 2006 he received Belgian citizenship.
