Isabella Gomez (born February 9, 1998 in Medellín ) is a Colombian actress . Her breakthrough came with the sitcom One Day at a Time , an in- house production by Netflix from 2017, in which she played one of the leading roles.

Life

Gomez was born in Medellín, Colombia in 1998 as an only child. Your father is a lawyer. At the age of ten, she and her family moved to Orlando, Florida , where she studied English and reduced her accent with a language coach.

Career

Gomez began her career in commercials in Colombia at the age of five. After moving to Florida, she initially continued her career in commercials. In 2014, she finally got a role on the Matador series , which required ongoing commuting between Orlando and Los Angeles until her parents finally moved to LA in 2015. There she managed to get a guest appearance in the hit comedy Modern Family . Since 2017 she has played one of the leading roles in the Netflix original series One Day at a Time .
