Isabella from Braganza

Isabella von Braganza (* October 1402 in Barcelos , Portugal ; † October 26, 1465 in Arévalo (Ávila) , Spain ; ▭ in the monastery Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória ) was a Portuguese noblewoman from the House of Braganza .

Life

She was the daughter of Alfonso von Braganza (1377-1461) and Beatriz Pereira de Alvim (1380-1415). On November 11, 1424, Isabella married John of Portugal (born January 13, 1400 in Santarém, † October 18, 1442 in Alcácer do Sal), her father's half-brother. She had four children with him.
