He Zhuoqiang ( Chinese 何 灼 强 , Pinyin Hé Zhuóqiáng ; born January 12, 1967 in Nanhai , Guangdong Province , People's Republic of China ) is a former Chinese weightlifter . He was in 1987 and 1989 vice world champion and 1988 winner of an Olympic bronze medal each in flyweight .
Career
He Zhuoqiang started lifting weights at Nanhai Junior Sports School in 1980. With a height of only 1.50 meters, he always started as an adult at flyweight (at that time up to 52 kg body weight).
In 1985 he won the Chinese national junior games and in the same year was also the Chinese senior champion, both in the flyweight division. In 1986 he won the Asian Games in Seoul . He referred it in the flyweight Kazushito Manabe from Japan a . G. Muthuswamy from India on places 2 and 3. At the World Championships in 1987 in Ostrava he reached 260 kg (112.5-147.5) and had to admit defeat to the Bulgarian Sewdalin Marinow , who achieved 262.5 kg (115-147.5).
