Zygmunt Antoni Smalcerz (born June 8, 1941 in Bestwinka ) is a former Polish weightlifter .

Career

During his sporting career, Smalcerz was three times world and four times European champion in flyweight (at that time up to 52 kg). The highlight of his career was the 1972 Olympic victory in Munich in the class up to 52 kg. He set four world records, two of them in snatching and one each in pushing and pushing. In 2002 he was inducted into the IMF Hall of Fame.
