The Glücksanfang mine was located near Müsen ( Hilchenbach ) (Upper Stollen is located in today's Kreuztal municipality) in the northern Siegerland and belonged to the Wilder Mann mine .

Glücksanfang was first mentioned in 1722, but ore mining is probably older. The upper gallery , which was probably built towards the end of the 17th century, is 80 m long and reached the middle of the passage on June 25, 1722. The passage was up to 1 m thick. The deep Glücksanfanger tunnel , which was created in the 18th century, was 290 m long in 1752, and a shaft connected the two tunnels. A lower gallery was built in 1751. Die construction began around 1830. Already before 1850 there was a consolidation with Junge Mann , whose name the mine took on.

Gang agent was Wilder Mann , in addition to iron ore , lead , silver , copper and zinc ores were also mined .
